You could not go to Bali and not think about an ice cold drink and a meal of beautifully cooked food, and a trip along to Chef Bagus Wisana in Kuta wether you are going to enjoy the local cuisine and atmosphere or to attend one of Chef’s fantastic cooking classes it is a great visit that will have you come back for more.

The restaurant can be busy so booking is generally a good thing, but like many places in Bali the team will try their very best to accommodate walk ups. We always call and make a booking especially on our visits this trip as we came along with our local family friends to enjoy a fantastic fun and delicious night out. The team sat us at a very generous table and we all ordered our favourites, pretty soon the icy cold Bintang arrived as well as the other drinks for the table, the anticipation for our meals didn’t have to wait long as the food was out before we knew it.

And the food didn’t disappoint we settled in for a couple of hours and had a great time, Chef Bagus of course ever the host came over for a chat and cheeky picture. We asked about the cooking classes and by all accounts they are back and booming. Having done a class on our last trip we had a ball and managed to learn heaps. Chef Bagus isn’t shy about providing his recipes an the class is very hands on, he also provides a recipe booklet and advises any local substitutions for ingredients based upon your home country.
