Staying at the Sheraton Kuta
Well what a journey it has been so far, when we booked this deal we had to stay at a CHSE certified hotel which led us to satay at the Sheraton. The hotel is located on the esplanade in Kuta opposite the beach and on the edge of the Beachwalk Mall complex which is all owned by the Marriott Group.

The hotel was under some level of renovations, but they did the work during the day and it wasn’t too offensive. The daily breakfast was relocated to the bar lounge area above the pool on the same level as reception. We soon met the Executive Chef who showed us around and introduce the wider team. From local and asian breakfast favourites to western and western with a local twist the fair available daily was the highest quality ad taste. The team took pride in the delivery of every dish and also offered some local delights.




We soon became favourites as do all the guests of the friendly team in the dining area, the team like all the best we have met over the years quickly understand your favourites such as do you have coffee or tea, but not just limited to this. For me its easy for the drinks but when it comes to the food I tend to try everything so it took about 5 days before I settled to a routine. The team offered a daily special which wee gleefully tried, some are hits and some not so much. We did discover the Pandan Coffee and it become our daily finish to breakfast and what a sweet treat with the kick of Balinese coffee on ice such a civilised way to kick off the day.






The hotel has 2 other Italian themed restaurants along with a rooftop sunset bar and of course fantastic room service. We too advantage of a meal or two in the Bene restaurant, as well as many poolside snacks and drinks.The service was exceptional and the team very friendly, we recognised many from the breakfast service as well. As we got to know many of the staff we became more aware of their families and the backend of the hotel, they all praised the management in particular the General Manager who ensured all staff had been retained during the pandemic lockdowns and had wages and benefits such as medical cover. All staff came back to work once the island started to use CHSE hotels to accommodate positive travellers and act as a quarantine accommodation. The feel and atmosphere is very friendly and the team look to make your stay a priority and the best it can be.

Over all we really enjoyed the opportunity and stay at the Sheraton Kuta, the team made our stay very comfortable and the location was perfect as a base to move out and about, be it a walk to the Beachwalk Shopping Centre or out and about to a restaurant or local stall for a bit of retail therapy. You would be in a great place to enjoy Bali in comfort.



We are lucky to be Marriott members which gave us a complementary massage each and a daily cocktail, but even without that the stay is great value and the quality what you would expect of a Sheraton luxury hotel.
